PLAN (test)

The PLAN is a preliminary ACT test that is generally administered in the sophomore year. ACT, Inc. claims that it predicts success on the ACT. It is viewed as the ACT's equivalent of the PSAT.

Components

The test consists of four separate parts: an English (grammar) section, a Math section, a Reading section, and a Science section. Each portion of the test has a different number of questions and a different amount of time allotted.[1]

Scoring

The PLAN test is scored between 1-32 and is determined by a composite scoring system much like that of the ACT, based on the scores received on each of the categories of the test.
